The plate serves to mount so-called piezo unit injector elements in the ultrasonic cleaner VAS 6418. The injector elements can thereby be suspended in a specific position in the cleaning bath. By cleaning in the ultrasonic bath, carbon deposits on the elements can be cleaned off. Replacement of the elements under these conditions only becomes necessary in rare circumstances. The application is described in the relevant workshop manual.
