Buffer charging of batteries with consumers activated (showroom operation and vehicle presentation), support operation of vehicle electrical systems without starter battery (steady voltage in event of battery change or ancillary test without battery). Top-up charge of heavily discharged batteries (de-sulfating charge) maintenance charge for permanent backup operation (e.g. during winter).
