Tpms Diagnostic Tool
Item Number: BRT-DBL4
Superseded To:

BRT-DBL4-B

Tool Overview:

The BRT-DBL4 gives the Service Technician the ability to perform TPMS Sensor Diagnostics. This new tool activates and decodes unique sensor data and identifies the current status of the range of sensors currently in use. The BRT-DBL4 lists the current vehicle line up. The BRT-DBL4 uses the proper LF signal protocols to activate the respective Continental and Beru sensors. It also has the ability to listen for, or ¿sniff¿ for the automatic transmissions (un-forced) from the Beru sensors. The tool allows for vehicle look up in two ways. Using the default method the Service Technician can look up the specific AUDI vehicle. The option exists to look up vehicles from a complete listing of all makes and models, including non-Audi selections. Once a vehicle is selected, the sensor can be activated by pressing TEST. The BRT-DBL4 tool looks for the appropriate sensor transmission and data. If the sensor is functioning properly, the tool will display temperature, pressure and sensor ID. If the sensor is not present or not functioning, you will get the appropriated message. Using the AUDIT feature, a record can be created and saved. The BRT-DBL4 is a time saving tool and will help lower warranty costs by effectively diagnosing the TPMS Sensors. The BRT-DBL4 is future proof and can be easily updated to maintain functionality as vehicle content changes and grows. This update can occur in either of two methods. An SD memory card can be delivered to the location of the tool. This method requires no PC connection. The second method is delivery of the update file via e-mail, web or other intra net connection. This method does require a PC connection, but no additional drivers or software. Technical Data: The BRT-DBL4 TPMS tool is designed to work on all known TPMS sensors in use today. It can activate TPMS Sensors using modulated and continuous wave LF (125 kHz) signals. The tool can receive in a range of frequencies (determined by software) including the most popular 315 MHz and 433.92 MHz. The tool provides output via a display as well as an audible tone. The BRT-DBL4 is FCC compliant as follows: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules and with RSS-210 of Industry Canada. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The BRT-DBL4 is powered by a rechargeable 9 volt battery. The tool has a charging feature included; therefore removing the battery to recharge is NOT REQUIRED. Simply connect the power supply in the appropriate port to charge. When replacing the battery ALWAYS observe proper polarity. NEVER USE AN ORDINARY BATTERY WHEN CHARGING.
