The assembly tool VAS 211 019 is used to close ear clips on the steering gear boot.
The special design of the tool allows the clamps to be closed without removing the steering gear or lowering the front axle subframe.
The maximum operating torque on the tool is 15 Nm, which corresponds to a closing force of 2,200 N. This prevents the clamp from being over-pressurized.
Only to be used for clamps on the steering gear.
