The damaged area is filled with a special resin that hardens under UV light using the VAS 861 013 and then cures.
The repair kit has a computer-controlled pressure and vacuum unit. Accordingly, after the resin has been injected, the necessary pressure and vacuum cycles run automatically. The running time of the automatic repair unit depends on the type of stone chip selected.
The view through the repaired area is then clear, distortion-free and unclouded at the repair site. The repair result resembles a dried drop of water.
The screen repair kit contains all necessary accessories for successfully repairing a stone chip in the windscreen of a passenger car. This also includes the required repair and deck resin.
