To prevent unintentional triggering of the side airbag during assembly and removal work on the driver and front passenger seat,
the ignition lead of the respective side airbag module has to be short circuited to the housing for reasons of safety.
Introduction: Audi TT MY 2007
For all other side airbag systems, airbag adapters VAS 5232, VAS 5232/1, VAS 5232/2, VAS 5094, VAS 5068, VAS 6036, VAS 6229, VAS 6235 and VAS 6280 are to be used.
Caution:
One adapter is required per side airbag.
The application is described in the relevant workshop manual.
