To prevent unintended release of the side airbags during assembly and removal work on the driver and front passenger seat, the ignition line of the respective side airbag module must be short circuited to the housing for reasons of safety.

Initial use:
Audi A8 2010>

For all other side airbag systems, airbag adapters VAS 5232, VAS 5232/1, VAS 5232/2, VAS 5094, VAS 5068, VAS 6036, VAS 6229, VAS 6235, VAS 6280 and VAS 6281 are to be used.

Warning:
An adapter is required for each side airbag.
The application is described in the workshop manual.
