In order to prevent unintentional release of the side airbag during removal and assembly work on the driver and front passenger seats, the ignition leads of the respective side airbag modules must be short circuited to the housing for reasons of safety.
Application:
Volkswagen and Audi vehicles (Sharan from model year 1999). For all other vehicles, airbag adapters VAS 5094 and 5068 are required.
Warning!! One adapter per side airbag (2)! The application is described in the relevant workshop manual.
