To avoid an unintentional release of the side airbag during installation and removal work on the driver`s and front passenger`s seat, the ignition lead of the side airbag module in question must be short circuited to the housing for reasons of safety.
Application: Audi A4 successor (B6). Further airbag adapters are: VAS 5094 (Volkswagen and Audi vehicles), VAS 5068 (Audi A8), VAS 5232 (Sharan 99).
Warning: One adapter is required for each side airbag! The application is described in the relevant Workshop Manual.
