To prevent unintentional release of the side-airbags when removal and installation work is carried out on the driver and front passenger seat, the detonation lead of the relevant side-airbag module has to be short circuited to the housing.
Initial application: Audi A3 2004> front side-airbags, driver and front passenger side.
For all other side-airbag systems, use airbag adapters VAS 5232, VAS 5232/1, VAS 5232/2, VAS 5094, VAS 5068, VAS 6036 and VAS 6229.
Warning:
One adapter is required for each side-airbag (2).
