The VAS 611 015/3 microphone picks up audible signals when used in conjunction with our interface, which amplifies the sensor signals through a power supply. The microphone is optimized for the frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which often causes complaints from drivers and passengers. It is an electret condenser microphone in a robust metal housing with a multi-pin plug for direct connection to the VAS 611 015/5 interface or via the VAS 611 015/4 extension cable.
